Would you like me to make your dog, cat, bird, or other animal as a lamp finial?

All the animals in my menagerie are original and one-of-a-kind, but together we can make something entirely unique and personalized just for you and your little loved one.

These are sculptures fashioned to peek out over your favorite lampshade and remind you to look at the light in your life - in particular, your love for your pets. This menagerie of lamp finials was born during an especially difficult year for me, when everything big was daunting and only the smallest of things (a good cup of tea, a good historical romance, a delightfully silly ceramics project, and my little dog) were able to bring moments of happiness. I immediately made one of my own Chinese Imperial Shih-Tzu, Agatha, and I wanted to offer you the chance to have one too. (P.S. I never do commissions. ;)

The project will begin with you sending photos and picking out a color scheme. Since my hands are usually covered in paint and clay, the lovely Sophia will be helping with coordinating. These sculptures are hand-made start to finish in delicate porcelain, with stain and underglaze coloring; they pass through two firings, and they are fitted with inset bronzed hardware (standard for most lamps). Each measures about 2.75\" wide and about 2.5\"-2.75\" high. 

I\'m not entirely sure how long I\'ll be able to offer these custom pieces!
