On a soft blue French ground, this floral and happy Persian rug has an open field and is framed beautifully. These are great rugs from Kerman, which is in the south of the Persia and are known to have a very tight weave. It likely which took several months to weave this rug that is finer than other Persians. It shows off exceptional detail and labor of love. Low pile with scattered wear and all natural, vegetable dyed wool. Woven circa 1920.
