Experience the ingenuity of authentic Japanese tatami with these Rush Grass Modular Mats from Ikehiko, one of Japan’s finest tatami makers since 1886.
Each set features two 32\" (82 cm) square tatami mats, meticulously woven from premium Igusa rush grass exclusively sourced in Kyushu, southern Japan. This ensures a breathable, moisture-resistant, and odor-resistant surface that invites you to immerse yourself in the comforting essence of authentic Japanese craft.
Designed with interlocking backside joints, every mat comes with two connectors for a flexible layout and a space-saving solution in any setting.
At approximately ⅔\" thick (2 cm), these tatami mats provide a soft yet supportive foundation—ideal for restful sleep, soothing meditation, or simply introducing a touch of refined Japanese elegance into your home.
Made in Japan Quality: Sourced exclusively from Kyushu in southern Japan, our Igusa rush grass is of a higher caliber than overseas variants, ensuring tatami mats that excel in durability, comfort, and a naturally calming aroma. This eco-friendly choice not only elevates your living space but also supports the Japanese farmers and craftsmen dedicated to preserving this iconic cultural tradition.
Multi-Purpose Use: These square tatami mats adapt to your needs—use them as a play area for kids, a base for yoga or meditation, or a casual lounging space. Expand your setup with additional sets to quickly create a full tatami room, then stack or store them effortlessly when not in use.
