We believe in everyday ritual; in the restorative power of taking time morning and evening to apply our soothing oil to the face, to feel enveloped by its warmth and comforting scent, then to lift and cleanse with warm water and a handmade face cloth.

#5 Cleansing oil is made with a combination of essential oils that clean, soothe and revitalise. It will soften and condition the skin leaving it bright and well nourished. We chose Borage oil and our own Calendula and Rosehip oils to restore moisture and repair dry skin and Jojoba oil to regulate sebum production, reduce pore size and deeply soothe. Castor oil is a tonic; its viscosity promotes deep cleansing.

Rose will refresh the soul, cool the skin and offer its excellent emollient and hydrating properties. It’s ideal for mature and sensitive skins. Bergamot is more than an effective antiseptic – its fresh, lemony top note and warm floral undertones are wonderfully uplifting. It is balanced by the rich, herby, warmth of Labdanum chosen for its long history of use for inflamed, damaged skin. Clary Sage and Benzoin will promote relaxation of mind and body. Benzoin has an almost Vanilla-like sweetness and warmth. It will help calm irritated skin, reduce redness and improve elasticity. The scent of Clary Sage is musky, sweet but herbal with a slightly floral back note.  Clary Sage is stimulating, regenerative and enlivening.

How to use

Place a warm cloth over the face to open the pores, then squeeze a pipette\'s worth of oil into the palm of your hand and rub hands together then apply to the face and decolletage in sweeping movements. Leave for a minute or two and rinse off using the cleansing cloth. If you\'re wearing makeup, follow this process twice.
