HOT ! 1960\'s India Handmade Blue Barrel Bead Necklace

A chunky 1960\'s blue barrel bead necklace handmade in India. The perfect accessory for an eclectic jewelry collection. Features 15 large cylindrical glass beads knotted together along a thick string cord heavily wrapped in black thread. The cord is designed with a thread-wrap toggle clasp with a brass medallion marked \'India\' / \'1962\'. Most likely a piece picked up while visiting a market/trade-show in India over 60 years ago!The beads are a beautiful light aqua blue color and boasts banded patterns that remind of waves in the ocean. There are few minor chips and dings to the beads (see photos), but nothing that affects the overall look. A small portion of the black thread where the medallion is tied has also come unwrapped, and an inner layer of white cord can be seen. This does not seem to affect current structure, and the medallion remains secure, but it may need to be re-wrapped in the future.
