Original 13 is a 13 oz Japanese selvedge denim jean — a sturdy, mid-weight. 100% cotton, no stretch. Selvedge denim is an indicator of craftsmanship. Original 13 has come from an artisan-focused mill in Okayama, Japan since 2010.
Deep navy yarns, unwashed. Clean exterior. No leather patch, no back pocket stitching, no labels. No whiskering or fake fade lines.
Raw denim arrives stiff. The break-in process takes months of wear. Wash sparingly — infrequent washing allows the denim to fade naturally to your body and movement. Men choose raw as a blank canvas for personal fading.
