The Shuffle Table seems to conjure up images of classic wooden toys, and rightly so. The choice of colors and the fact that you can unify and build the table as you wish are all ideas that Mia Hamborg took from the Brio stacking clown she had as a child. She wants people to feel a sense of joy when they see her creation. With the ability to decide the shape, color and height of the table, the Shuffle table is a truly Nordic approach to democratic design. It is now available in a new color combination: Array.

Mia Hamborg is originally from Norway, where a background in advertising and graphic design landed her interior design consulting contracts. Holder of a degree in furniture design, with a specialization in wood, Mia Hamborg combines functionality and humor in her endearing creations. With the “Shuffle” table, she brings the Nordic art of woodturning back to life. Dating back to the Viking Age, this technique involves turning wood using a foot-operated pole lathe and using a sharp tool to shape it. “I want people to feel a sense of joy when they see my creations,” says Hamborg. “Let them walk into a room and suddenly smile.”
