Meet the CONCHA, a vibrant new Moon Lake original and one of my favorite creations to date. This sculptural handbag opens like a blooming flower - but the beauty of the CONCHA is that it invites interpretation. Some see a seashell, some see a flower and many see a piece of wearable art. however it speaks to you, the shape is meant to feel alive, playful and uniquely your own. 

The straps are detailed with Mayan textiles. Their expressive colors and geometric pattern bring life and history to every stitch.
Inside you will find a zipper pouch for storing your items. The pouch comes with a zipper pocket and credit card slots.

 Handcrafted from full-grain leather and vintage Mayan textiles, our bag straps blend heritage, artistry, and function in every stitch. 

 

 A huipil is a traditional shirt woven on a backstrap loom by a female weaver and a faja is a belt. Each huipil and faja has been previously worn by an indigenous woman, and after it has lived a long life, it is repurposed into a unique and beautiful part of each bag.
