Detailed information on Ginpo Kikka Kohiki Rice Cooker Pot

This is a Banko ware rice cooker.

The pot features a delicate, chrysanthemum-like striped pattern on the white lid, and the deep pot is designed to cook rice perfectly, making it a truly attractive piece.

Unlike a traditional earthenware pot, this is a dedicated rice cooker, ideal for not only cooking simple white rice but also for experimenting with brown rice, mixed grains, or even takikomi gohan (seasoned rice with ingredients).

Please note that there may be slight differences in appearance and texture between individual products. We appreciate your understanding in advance.

Banko ware is a type of pottery primarily produced in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture. Its origins date back to the mid-Edo period, and it was named with the wish that \"the works would last forever.\" The character \"萬\" (Ban) means all or everything, while \"古\" (Ko) refers to the passage of time. In addition to bonsai pots, Banko ware is known for its durability, particularly with heat-resistant items like teapots and earthenware pots.
