The oval shape of this Chasseur Cast Iron casserole makes it ideal for cooking a whole chicken or a leg of lamb. This cocotte is great for slow cooking, stews and soups. The Dutch oven\'s heavy lid with unique concentric rings create a self-basting effect that keeps your food tender and moist while retaining the flavour. Available in two sizes: 10.75\" Family with a 4.25qt capacity and 12\" Party with a 6.25qt capacity. This product is made in France. It provides all the benefits of cooking with cast-iron including compatibility with use of oven or induction and other cook tops.
