Sotbat\'s pots are crafted using Sancheong Goryeongto (산청 고령토), a special clay from the Sancheong region of Korea known for its remarkable durability and heat-retaining properties.

The Sot is inspired by traditional Korean Onggi, and its unique pattern is drawn from the Suhwa-mun (수화문), a symbolic design historically used on pottery to represent abundance and regeneration. In the past, these patterns were often etched into traditional Korean earthenware to invoke prosperity and renewal. Sotbat continues this tradition by incorporating wave-like Suhwa-mun patterns onto the pots, wishing for the continuous flow of life and for a fruitful future.

Adding a whimsical touch, Sotbat’s Suhwa-mun also carries a fun wish: ‘맛있어져라,’ which translates to ‘Get delicious!’—a playful charm cast over every dish prepared in the pot.
