This exhaust fan is mounted on a 10 x 22 inch plate and has an optional louver(included). In a crawl space, the mounting plate is designed to fit behind most 8 x 16inch vent openings. The louver can be attached to the fan to keep the crawl spaceclosed when the fan is not running. This fan is also used without the louver in attics forplacement in ridge vents or gables.
