A coffee table with a history: In 1949, Charles and Ray Eames designed a low table for their home in Pacific Palisades. Vitra later reissued the model in collaboration with the Eames Office. This particular example showcases the clean, understated geometry of the re-edition and features a rectangular walnut top. The surface has a warm feel, the proportions are restrained. Subtle signs of wear on the top and legs hint at its use without being distracting. This version is no longer available from Vitra. Functional for everyday use, striking in any room.
