Because of the particular handmade/handwoven characteristics, dimensions are intended as plus or minus half an inch. 

The front, all-cotton fabric is hand manipulated using a range of techniques including wax resist batik, and colored using natural dyes. The colors range from dark brown, beige, and gray, to cream, blush, and lavender. It has a somewhat pickled, crepe surface giving a nice textured hand-feel. This exact fabric can never be duplicated.

The back of the pillow is constructed from a luxurious, medium weight, linen, hemp, and cotton fabric with corduroy type ridges and a wonderful hand feel. The color is a neutral unbleached mottled beige with slight color variations from the natural fibers. This fabric can have naturally occurring ripples and eddies adding to the country-rustic feel.

An interlining/fusing has been applied to the rear-side of both the front and back fabrics to maintain fabric integrity and smashing good looks, and a top-of-the-line, YKK-zipper has been chosen for the fill opening to add strength and durability. In addition, all fabric joints have been serged/overlocked to properly seal the edges, prevent fraying, and provide a crisp, clean finish. This is a more expensive and time-consuming process than using chemical dyes but results in the enchanting character and soft hues of the colors you see in the photos. Note that handwoven textiles may have some aberrations such as wonky threads or other anomalies in the weaving/embroidery. There will also be some blips, blaps, and blobs in the hand batik design. This is why we love handmade!
