Gyokuro — Shade-Grown Japanese Green Tea
Gyokuro is one of Japan’s most prized green teas. Grown under shade in the Kagoshima Prefecture, the tea plants develop higher levels of chlorophyll and the amino acid L-theanine, giving the tea its signature deep umami character and mellow sweetness.
The result is a smooth, full-bodied green tea with savory depth and a lingering semi-sweet finish. Gyokuro can be steeped multiple times, revealing new layers of flavor with each infusion.
