This towel is the result of a thoughtful collaboration between MUTO, a textile manufacturer based in Yamanashi Prefecture, and Watanabe Pile Orimono Co., a long-established towel maker in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture.

MUTO developed its unique yarn (patent pending) over two years. Its remarkable elasticity creates a denser pile structure, increasing the surface area that contacts the skin and significantly enhancing absorbency. Gently stretching the towel reveals a subtle springiness—an indicator of the yarn’s exceptional performance.

Watanabe Pile Orimono brings over 50 years of expertise in crafting premium Imabari towels, renowned for their outstanding quality and meticulous material selection. Together, the two companies have fused innovation and tradition to produce a towel that is not only luxurious, but truly functional for daily use.

Available in two practical sizes—Face Towel (30 x 120 cm) and Bath Towel (60 x 120 cm)—and offered in a palette of five understated colors, these towels are designed to complement any modern lifestyle.
