Designer Chris Mestdagh

Born in Belgium in 1959. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, he worked in apparel design.He then launched his own brand, ‘Chris Mestdagh’, in 1988, expanding his scope beyond apparel to offer comprehensive lifestyle proposals.He currently works as a freelance designer active in multiple fields.He consults for and develops designs for Belgian lifestyle brands while also collaborating on design projects with various Japanese brands.

[Introduction]The inspiration for this collection came from a road trip through the major cities of Andalusia, located in the southwestern corner of Spain.From Cordova to Cadiz, and from Granada to Seville, architecture, design, and art rooted in the rich cultural traditions of Islam and Christianity display a magnificent fusion.

[CALLIGRAPHY]Calligraphy is the art of writing beautiful, expressive letters, practiced across various cultures for centuries. It blends aesthetic sensibility, rhythm, and technique, elevating letters into visual art. Its presence can be seen throughout the magnificent architecture found everywhere in Spain\'s Andalusia region. Made with ultra-fine threads, this towel features a plain weave on the surface and a pile on the reverse. It is lightweight and highly absorbent.
