I designed the geometric ikat pattern for this pillow cover in my Brooklyn studio and then worked with weavers in Hyderabad and a nonprofit organization in India who employs disadvantaged women to sew items.Ikat is an intricate dyeing and weaving technique where artisans tie and dye warp threads, then hand weave them on a loom to create a one-of-a-kind fabric.
