A rare and striking example of early Art Deco costume jewellery, this delicate orange celluloid snake bangle captures the adventurous spirit of 1920s–1930s design. The bracelet is shaped into a smooth, coiled serpent — a motif long associated with love, eternity, and transformation — and features hand-set rhinestone eyes and a line of accent stones running down the head and body.
The soft orange tone of the celluloid glows with a subtle translucence, catching the light beautifully and enhancing its bold yet elegant presence on the wrist. The detailing in the head and shaping of the body suggests this piece was likely hand-finished, typical of transitional Art Deco jewellery where bold experimentation met traditional craftsmanship.
Whether worn alone as a statement piece or stacked with other bangles for a dramatic effect, this bracelet is a conversation starter — a true survivor of early 20th-century fashion.
